OK Desk and Hutch, but for the price, shop aroundMay 22, 2006
This desk and hutch is a good, solid piece of furniture for the most part, but for $500+ dollars, you might want to shop around a bit before you decide. I was lucky enough to find this same piece on clearance in a furniture store for $99.00, so for me, it's a gread desk. I did have a problem however with the pull-out keyboard drawer. After about 6 months, the fold-down part of the keyboard drawer came apart, because that's right about where you would rest your wrists when you type, so the small screws that were holding the hinges pulled right out from the wood and it came apart. I was able to re-attach it with some bigger screws, and so far, it's holding up OK. My advice is this: You won't get burned if you buy this desk, because it's a sturdy good-quality piece. However, for the price, shop around. You may be able to find something else at a better price.
