Excellent productJan 06, 2009
The entire set is made of durable wood. The "candles" have "flame" inserts. The frying pan comes with two latkes and there is a dreidel with 6 wooden pieces of gelt.
Our 3 year old loved it this Chanukah--he would put the menorah together after we lit the real candles. He also enjoyed the dreidal and the frying pan.
This object is sure to last many years. Highly recommended.

We received this item for Channukkah this year and it was the only gift my two year old daughter wanted to play with. She absolutely loves it for she can light the candles indepedently without worries of getting burned. She asks us if we are ready to light the candles and she gets her menorah and does it all by herself. She receives great pride and confidence from this item. It's great pretend play, which makes this item fantastic. It's like a 3D puzzle, which she enjoys for extended amount of time. A must have for your household.

This Menorah is really well made. The flames actually come out of the candle, which I didn't realize, but love about this toy. Each night, we light our menorah and our 20 month old gets to put the flames on her candles! We read books about Chanukah and then we open a present! It's a wonderful, solid toy that will be in our family for years! Go Kidkraft!

I bought two sets, one for each of my two year old grandsons. They both love it and want to play with it often.

We got this kit for my 2.5 year old son and 14 month old daughter. The menorah is terrific - it has nine candles, and nine flames, and the kids can put them together, and 'light' the right number on the right night. The menorah is sturdy and just right for small hands. The flipper, pan and latkes are also the right size and durable. The dreidel and few coins are too big and clumsy, and there are not enough coins to really play. (everything is made of wood in this kit). The directions for playing dreidel are wrong (letters with game rules are mixed up). This is a great kit, though, and you can just go buy those cheapie plastic dreidels elsewhere. This is a worthwhile toy.
